Description
Post is Bjrk’s second solo studio album and a defining work of 1990s avant-pop. The record is praised for its emotional depth and sonic experimentation, moving effortlessly between vulnerable ballads and energetic, industrial beats.
The album was primarily written after Bjrk moved to London, and it aims to convey the pace, urban culture, and energy of the city. Collaborators on the album include Nellee Hooper, Graham Massey (of 808 State), and Tricky, each adding distinct textures from trip-hop, jazz, and IDM. The album balances chaos and vulnerability with cinematic flair, featuring standout singles like “Army of Me,” “Hyperballad,” and the showtune-inspired “It’s Oh So Quiet”.
