While Bloody Kisses was Type Os third full-length in as many years, its arguably the moment the whole world took notice of the Brooklyn groups uniquely gloomy and determinedly horny brand of goth metal. And just as front man Peter Steele graced MTV screens in the Black No. 1 video while hoisting his gigantic double bass like a toothpick, the metal scene knew it would never be the same. Nihilistic, sacrilegious and penetratingly heavy, Bloody Kisses is a full-blown classic.
