For Jason Isbell, former guitarist and songwriter of the Drive-By Truckers, his first solo album showcases diversity, skill and passion, the three essential ingredients to the legendary Muscle Shoals sound. It is an album built on his already beloved contributions to 3 Truckers albums. His 11 self-penned numbers take deeply personal lyrics that are expressed through the sounds of the South: rock, soul and blues. SIRENS OF THE DITCH sees Isbell taking the next step, standing on his own.
