Gojiras fifth album likewise their major label debut leveled-up the French forces already astounding bedrock of progressive metal heaviness. LEnfant Sauvage is an album that punctures the skin through oppressively percussive moments of extreme-metal trilling and tribal drum bounding, but the band also contrast that highly-concentrated savagery with spacey late-album highlight Born in Winter. Gojira nurtured their inner child with this metal masterwork, which still stands as one of the tightest and most furious statements of their celebrated career.
