While perhaps overshadowed by the landmark Megadeth albums that surround it, 1988s So Far, So GoodSo What! nevertheless set the music world afire with its mix of thrash-penetrative riffage and progressive twists. Despite beginning with oddly jubilant instrumental Into the Lungs of Hell, Dave Mustaine still sings with a mouthful of acid as he raves about bad bandmates, nuclear holocausts, drunk drivers and censorship. Though remodeled with ripping solos and double-kick intensity, their cover of Sex Pistols Anarchy in the U.K. brings a uniquely punky energy to the platinum selling album.
