Description
Filipino/American, Icelandic based artist Sandrayati returns with her remarkable second album, INHABIT, a deeply personal and poetic meditation on the natural cycles that shape our world and selves. Following her acclaimed debut Safe Ground, created in collaboration with composer lafur Arnalds, this new chapter sees her expand her sonic palette while staying rooted in her rich cultural heritage.
Sung in both English and Indonesian, INHABIT, is a graceful exploration of identity, activism, and the rhythms of nature. Tracks like Suara Dunia honour the Mollo people in West Timor, showcasing Sandrayatis ethereal falsetto and commitment to environmental and ancestral storytelling.
A moving and immersive listen, INHABIT is an astounding testament to Sandrayatis seemingly boundless talents, one she has nurtured carefully over the years, to then share with the world.
