Description
Encore, released late in 2004, foundEminemreaching into more mature territory, notably on the anti-George W. Bush “Mosh,” but for once most of the controversy generated by the album was for behind-the-scenes events: a bus crash followed by canceled dates and a stint in rehab. Featuring further fan favorites like “Mockingbird” and “Like Toy Soldiers” plus guest appearances byDr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, Obie Trice, Stat QuoandD12, the Grammy-nominated affair continued the Detroit rapper’s No. 1 Billboard 200 streak and has been certified 5x Platinum. Recorded at the height ofEminem’sdrug addiction,Encorewould be hislast album for half a decade.
