Description
This LP from a collector’s label features the last documented appearance ofJohn Coltranewith theMiles DavisQuintet before he departed to lead his own group. The repertoire (“On Green Dolphin Street,” “Walkin’,” “Theme,” “So What” and “‘Round Midnight”) offers no surprises but the soloing ofDavis,Coltraneand pianistWynton Kellyis consistantly excellent and sometimes quite exciting.
