Cutat Sterling Soundfrom the Analog Masters by George Marino and Pressed at QRP: Do Not Miss This Amazing-Sounding Audiophile Set of Hendrix’sElectric Ladyland
The great manifesto of the psychedelic rock era, theJimi Hendrix Experience’sElectric Ladylandis the culmination of resounding experimentation and several years of band chemistry, as well asHendrix’scontinual development as a guitarist seemingly capable of anything. The trio’s final studio recording together, it’s also the band’s most adventurous, and collaborative.Steve Winwood, Al Kooper, Buddy Miles, Jack Casady, andChris Woodall make guest apprearances. Featuring everything from sensitive wah-wah playing (“Burning of the Midnight Lamp”) to the all-time best version ofBob Dylan’s“All Along the Watchtower,” withHendrixinfusing the song with requisite mystery and mayhem, to the magnetic riff passages of “Voodoo Child (Slight Return),”Electric Ladylandremains one of the most fully realized and referenced recordings in history. And until now, it’s never received the sonic facelift it’s not only needed, but deserved.
Masteredfrom the original analog tapes, cut by legendary engineer George Marino on upgraded equipment at Sterling Sound, and pressed on 180g vinyl at QRP,this 2LP setis a sonic knockout on par with the very best audiophile recordings. This is also thefirst-ever audiophile edition ofElectric Ladyland. We guarantee itwill absolutely blow away whatever analog or digital version you’ve heard before.
Ranked byRolling Stoneas the 54th greatest album ever made,Electric Ladylandepitomizes the passion, soulfulness, exoticism, and emotion that makes music such a part of our life. You will not want to live without this record. Even in death,Hendrixlives forever.
