Anthraxs first album was their only with OG vocalist Neil Turbin and bassist Dan Lilker, so this 1984 ripper is a primitive version of what the definitive NYC thrash act would come to be. Even so, its an utterly essential piece of the early thrash-metal canon that boasts awesome, wince-inducing cover art, a cover of Alice Coopers Im Eighteen, and the song Metal Thrashing Mad that’s still a core part of their setlist to this day. Get it on vinyl.
