Description
The Genuine Imitation Life Gazette marked a wild, unexpected, utterly satisfying departure for Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Inspired by and dropped in the wake of classic psych-pop vocal albums like Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pet Sounds, this is one of the most ambitious efforts from the famed Jersey Boys. Gone are the doo-wop and Motown inspired harmonies, the light pop about girls, and arrived was a complex, insightful album of social commentary. Critics loved it; it’s taken the fans longer to come around. With this beatiful reissue, a new generation can discover a different side of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, and go on a wild ride. 140g black vinyl
