Get A Grip

Description

With Steven Tyler on vocals, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford on guitars, Tom Hamilton on bass, and Joey Kramer on drums,Aerosmithhas outlasted all the trends and fads of rock and roll to become one of the most powerful and electrifying forces in popular music, selling in excess of 100 million albums since their inception in Boston, MA circa 1970.

In the era of sex, drugs and rock & roll,Aerosmitharrived with a sexy swagger and thrusts of metal, glam and boogie woogie. Tyler’s lyrics laced with double entendres and witty humor perfectly complimented the group’s raunchy, bluesy backdrops. Beyond driving rock and roll tunes,Aerosmithalso created quintessential power ballads, a dual skill which helped the band yield a string of gold and platinum albums. In the late 80s and early 90s, rock fans were once again getting off withAerosmithvia some of the rockingest albums of the era, albums whose songs dominated the airwaves and whose videos were MTV staples.

1993’sGet A Gripwas one of those records. It debuted at No. 1, went 7x times platinum and yielded the No. 1 gold “Cryin’” and Top 25s “Crazy” and Grammy-winner “Livin’ On The Edge,” plus the incendiary “Eat The Rich” and ballad favorite “Amazing.”Aerosmithwas back on top with one of the most cohesive records of their career and America’s premier rock n’ roll band has remained there ever since.
