Description
Swedish mysterios Ghost perfected their satanic triumvirate of Seventies stadium rock, classic heavy metal and evil pop melodies on 2015s Meliora, Papa and the Ghouls third full-length offering. Living up to its English translation (better), the album is perhaps best represented by its three infectious singles: the bass-heavy stomp of From the Pinnacle to the Pit, the rumbling tension of Cirice and the haunting elegance of Majesty. Elsewhere, greed anthem Mummy Dust and orchestral Luciferian ode He Is seal the infernal deal. J. BENNETT
