Description
When High on Fire dropped their second album back in 2002, guitarist-vocalist Matt Pike was already a stoner-metal legend from his work with hypnotizing dragonauts Sleep. But Surrounded by Thieves sealed High on Fires reputation for relentless riffage and rolling-thunder drum work on unstoppable bangers like Eyes & Teeth, Speedwolf and Hung, Drawn and Quartered. Legions of red-eyed heshers and weird-beard motrheads genuflected at the altar of High on Fire and never looked back. J. BENNETT
