Description
Nina Simones classic album I Put A Spell On You, originally released in June of 1965 stands as a towering achievement in her catalogue an exploration of love, desire, and defiance. Anchored by her smoldering version of Screamin Jay Hawkins title track, the album weaves together bawdy blues (Gimme Some, Take Care of Business), sophistication (Ne Me Quitte Pas, Youve Got to Learn) and jazz-infused soul, including the streaming-era anthem Feeling Good, whose bold, brassy arrangement still resonates today.
This special 60th anniversary edition is pressed on commemorative Spellbound splatter vinyl, cut from original analog sources, and housed in a deluxe jacket featuring embossed elements in metallic gold.
