Description
With Equus Caballus , Men I Trust release the second part of their twin album just a few weeks after Equus Asinus . While both records stem from the same creative flow, Caballus tells its own story.
Where Asinus indulged in laid-back indie folk, Caballus quietly forays into ’80s aesthetics, subtle grooves, and more rhythmic movement. It all remains typical Men I Trust, thoughrestrained, warm, gently floating.
Compared to its quiet predecessor, Equus Caballus feels like the more extroverted side of the same coinwithout ever getting loud. It’s an album that unfolds casually, but upon closer listening, is full of sonic detail.
