Description
Neon Violet with White Butterfly Wings and Blood Red and Neon Violet Splatter Standard Gram
No artist is more identified with the uncompromising genre known as Japanoise than Masami Akita, a.k.a. Merzbow. Across 40 years and over 400 recordings, Merzbow has pushed the boundaries of music, becoming celebrated in particular for a style of harsh, confrontational noise typified by Venerology. Akitas first release for Relapse Records, the 1994 LP drew on death metal and grindcore as well as its makers heavy intake of beer during its creation. The result is one of the most extreme albums ever recorded.
