Description
The Smiths were an English Rock band formed in Manchester in 1982, consisting of Morrissey, Jonny Marr, Andy Rourke, and Mike Joyce. Known for Morrissey’s distinctive voice and literate, often melancholic lyrics, they became one of the most influential bands of the 1980’s alternative rock scene. Meat is Murder is their second studio album released in 1985. Its introspective lyrics address both political and personal themes.
